Hey there! I'm David, and I'm thrilled to share my journey with you. With over 20 years of experience in software engineering, including 12 years in the video games industry, coding has been an inseparable part of my life. I lead teams, mentor budding developers, and above all, I'm here to spread the joy of coding.

It all started at the age of 7 when my grandad gifted me a ZX81 and ignited the spark of coding within me. Since then, it has been a fascinating journey of exploring diverse programming languages, from C and C++ to Lua, ActionScript, and my current favourites: PHP, MySQL, TypeScript, and React. My formal training in Statistics and Economics from the French school ENSAE complements my technical expertise, enabling me to approach coding with a unique perspective.

While my career took me through various roles, I never lost sight of my true passion – coding. That's why I founded Kodaps, a platform with a mission to show people that coding can be incredibly fun. I aim to share my knowledge, empower aspiring developers, and create a community that celebrates the thrill of software engineering.

Beyond my love for coding, I strongly believe in empathy and caring for people. I want to help others achieve their goals and do the right thing. As a polyglot, I speak both English and French, and I'm proud to call Paris my home, though my roots are in Britain.

Outside the coding realm, I have a diverse set of interests. I authored a book that chronicles my journey to becoming a Catholic, and I've even choreographed flash dances, blending my artistic side with my love for technology.

As Kodaps continues to grow, I envision it becoming a powerful voice in the tech community, showcasing the thrill and rewards of coding. So, join me on this exciting journey, and let's discover the endless possibilities of coding together!
